Pete Kershaw started Kershaw Knives in 1974 in Lake Oswego, Oregon. He began with one mission: to design knives that knife enthusiasts would be proud to own, carry, and use. In 1978 Pete sold Kdershaw knives to Kai Cutlery Co. Ltd. who then created Kai USA Ltd. Not only did Kai USA continue the commitment to make a quality product but they enhanced it. Kershaw Knives has earned numerous awards for their designs over the years from Blade Magazine.
Premium materials, state-of-the-art manufacturing, extremely tight tolerances and meticulous craftsmanship ensure that each knife Kershaw Knives makes provides a lifetime of performance and pride of ownership.
