Fallkniven Knives is a Swedish-based manufacturer of knives and knife-related gear and apparel. Fällkniven was founded in 1984 by company president Peter Hjortberger. The company started by importing knives and, in 1987, began designing their own knives which are produced in Japan. Fallkniven quality tests their knives at the Lulea University of Technology so that they know exactly how their knives will hold up. That information permits them to say that their knives are the strongest, serial manufactured, stainless steel knives in the world.
Fallkniven Knives is a true family firm, with their roots deep in the soil of Norrbotten, Sweden. The Fallkniven family has been hunters and fishermen for decades and they know from personal experience how a knife should perform. The firm started operations in 1984 and today is acknowledged as one of Sweden's foremost knife specialists. Fällkniven is most well-known as a supplier of military and outdoor knives and in 2000 the black versions of models F1 and S1 were tested and approved for use by air crews in the U.S. Marine and U.S. Navy. |
