The Forschner high carbon, stainless steel kitchen knives are all hand finished in Switzerland by skilled craftsmen. They use a special tempering process to produce an edge that can be re-sharpened over and over again. So Forschner kitchen knives can keep their original sharpness throughout their life.
There are three types of handles to choose from: the traditional rosewood handle, which is designed to provide maximum comfort at all times, the modern nylon handle and patented Fibrox handles which are NSF approved and slip resistant so they, too, minimize tension at the wrist. Although the handles of the kitchen knives are dishwasher safe, it is highly recommended that you wash them by hand in soapy water, rinse and hand dry. This will help avoid pitting and spotting on the blades and discoloration of the handles. |
